Calvin Christian School

A small but dedicated group of Reformed Christians founded Calvin Christian School in South Holland, IL in 1912. Today, over 100 years later, Calvin still offers a competitive and progressive, Christ-honoring education to children of believers. Their goal is to graduate students who will be prepared to excel wherever God calls them, rooted in the lordship of Christ and knowledge of His world. Calvin’s vision is to be a diverse group of Christians working together to help children achieve academic excellence and grow in faith in order to answer God’s call to transform the world. Calvin Christian School exists to provide an excellent Christ-centered education to children of believers. In support of parents and in cooperation with Christian churches, Calvin provides this education from a Reformed perspective. This means Calvin teaches children to see God’s creation through the perspective of God’s Word, to understand God’s redemptive and providential work throughout history, and to live lives of Christian service that exemplify love for God and for their neighbors. Reformed Christian education is about so much more than chapel and Bible class; it’s about how the Lordship of Christ affects every area of life, every subject, every action, every recreation. Calvin Christian School emphasizes that science and history, recess and band, lunch time and basketball practice all have to do with our faith in God.
